TITULIA CITY | In what turned out to be a shocker, just re-immigrated TJ (Tom J) Norton became a member of an RNC rival, the leftist pro-choice Social Dems. RNC Head Julian tried to recruit Norton back to his original party,but failed after Norton joined the USA Branch of the SDP,which is similar to the Democratic Party.
In a blog post,Norton states:
I have long been confused with the make-up of Titulia's political establishment. For starters, the convenience factor has been rife and little thought has actually been given to the end result of external application (i.e. federal elections).
An example. I have long stated the strangeness of a party with all three major factions represented. Of course, I am referring to the Libertarian Party of Titulia (LPT). Opponents of my view have argued it's "big tent" status but in reality it has long stood as the original political force since the days of the Republic's birth under our first President, Mary Brewster.
Idealogically, however, it places all members in a very difficult and untenable position as to the practicality of their message. We have seen this election after election and law suit after law suit. That said, I prefer for the purposes of justice and equality not to paint party members with one brush .. rather the establishment itself as can only be appropriately made in fairness to all.
Traditionally I have taken the path of Titulian conservatism because, as hypocritical as it may seem, the Republican Party of Titulia (RNC) warranted a moderate model due to its focus. Then again, as the second president of the RNC and struggling to get the movement to survive I speak from a place of mixed feelings considering the now extreme social conservative tendancies in its leadership.
I emigrated this country under the dictatorial reign of President Jason "Trvthseeker" Ragan and his tyrannical Attorney General Germanicus Nero. Since then, a new era has arrived with nothing than sincere heart and the deepest admiration for President The Teacher. A gentle lady with strong conviction and kind demure. I digress we left with some distain for each other, but I err a respect has developed. (Jokingly I profess .. as she is now President with immense popularity .. why would she not be happy?)
Arriving back to her shores, it is like leaving in a cloud of unbreathable hazardous, grey smoke and coming back to a pleasant apple-scented air and the visual beauty of our dearest mountains.
I take an unusual path in terms of historical Titulian step and caucus with the Social Democratic Party under the esteemed leadership of my friend, Former Titulian President Eric Meissner.
For those newer citizens who are interested in history .. President Meissner and I ran against each other in the February presidential election. I take this step as one of solidarity to the cause of a major federal construction effort. A paradigm of promise and a commitment of conciliation. I am hopeful that my efforts may bring promise to the marginalised philosophical left who are searching for a home where theiir agenda is celebrated and taken to the people at a later election.
I implore all citizens far and wide to come forth and learn from Eric's wisdom as I have. Open your minds and hearts to a generation of Titulians yearning only to live and bring forth a great and benevolent society for all its citizens.
I send cordial greetings to the President and Vice President of the Republic and to their Cabinet and representatives. May the light of good governance remain strong and beem bright. Harness that good will and allow it to evolve and eminate throughout all programs of good governance to provide for our people.
As my university law school adoption .. Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto (The Welfare of the People is to be the Highest Law).
