In a BLOG POST, Min for the Arts Erina Jensen confirmed Former Citizen and Former GOP Branch President TJ Norton was in medical care. Here is her statement:
I have been inundated with emails and offsite communications and I have a briefing from TJ's oncology registrar on the latest.
At present I can confirm that on this occasion, he has been diagnosed with single-cell tumours believed to be metastases -- meaning that there are tumours on one of his lungs believed to be cancerous -- surgery to remove for subsequent pathological examination will determine if those tumours are malignant (cancer).
His blood markers of LDH, AFP, eLFT and BcG however are reading abnormal levels, which lead specialists to believe that cancer has resurfaced in his body.
At 10:28 PM AEST last night -- TJ was presented to the emergency department for excessive dizziness and nausea. After an excellent treatment he has been placed in my care to return home and is now again stable.
I will provide more information as it comes to hand. TJ is expected to make a podcast address to Titulians in the next day or so and I sincerely apologise to all presidential candidates -- including the president -- for interrupting the current election.
