BREAKING NEWS:Menace seeks re-election

In a letter today,President ‘Menace’ McVicker has stated that he will run for re-election,reversing his position from several weeks ago. McVicker stated:

My Fellow Titulians,
I made a statement two weeks ago that I would not seek re-election; I made this statement not because I was not planning on running again, but because we have seen a rather low level of activity from our citizens.  My hope in making that declaration was that we would see an increase in activity and we have.  Due to the fact that I had declared I was not running we now have six candidates running for president.  I want to encourage the other five to stay in, because Titulia needs a lively debate.
Titulia needs a debate on the issues not about politics.  Titulia needs for the citizens to get involved.  It has been said that competition breeds excellence, and if each candidate delivers their best we can ensure Titulia's next leader exhibits the traits we need.  We need a leader who is strong but flexible, who is active, wise, and caring.
I have attempted to serve the interests of Titulia since day one.  I have served as Economic Minister, Vice President, and now President.  I have shown my leadership abilities in both the private sector and in government.  As a private citizen I put up many pieces of legislation, I invested my own money into Titulia and plan on investing more.  I have given much to Titulia and in turn received much back.  I have made some good friends here, and some great adversaries.
I have faith that I am the best man to lead Titulia, because I have done it well before taking the office of President.  No one in this election knows the inner workings of our government to the extent I do.  None of my opponents know the stress of the job the way I do.
The presidency is a tiring and thankless job for which I happen to be perfect.  I want this job; not for the power, not for ambition, or for money.  I want this job because of challenge, the desire to better Titulia, and above all else the pride of knowing I contributed to bettering this nation I love so dearly.  It is with these things in mind I ask that you re-elect me President of Titulia.
Dennis McVicker
President of Titulia

Long Live the Republic
