1)How is it like being the first Conservative (Republican) President? Do you feel as if you're the Abe Lincoln of Titulia?
Hardly like President Lincoln in the states, but I do think it presents an unique opportunity to show how our principles can work out for the best. Titulia deserves decisive, reasoned leadership at this time. I only hope I can carry the mantel of being the first self-styled "conservative" in Titulia
2)What is your plan for Titulia and it's future? Do you have a bright future planned?
My plan is moving in steps to achieve what is necessary. To think of what Titulia has already achieved is staggering, but we must continue forward. The people need to approve theirGeneral Court. Our nation must be sure to look to its people for guidance, not just a select few.
The planning of the future must come from the citizens and flow upward. I think our single greatest challenge is recruiting more citizens to come to our nation.
3)The Times recently announced that a capital city is on the way. What do you plan on being in the capital (Govt. Offices,Living,Etc.)
While I must confess myself a skeptic at first for this, I am genuinely excited about the possibilities and challenges a map and property will bring to Titulia. A Government building that makes us proud is absolutely essential, but what is more exciting is looking at the creative ways Titulians will find to use this newfound feature.
As for those challenges, my Administration will be looking very closely into property rights and laws to protect our citizens and the coming infrastructure. We've got a top notch team with Vice President Karl Christen and Economics Minister John Daly. You really couldn't ask for better leaders in this field.
4)How does your first days as President compare to Fmr. Pres. Pijanowski's?
Well, I'll let the citizens decide that one in the end. I will say that they have been very different. My Cabinet has also proved to be competent, reliable, and easily surprises me by their constant dedication and excellence in the pursuit of bettering Titulia.
5)Are the proposed treaties set to become the Bill of Rights? How will it effect Titulians?
The current plan is to get a draft of a Bill of Rights forged together between Minister Julian and Dennis McVicker, with Dr. Manhaton providing legal oversight and input. The Bill of Rights will not be a treaty itself; however, I believe that the treaties have great importance to Titulia as well.
6)During this economic crisis, many people are at a loss of jobs and money. What is your plan to revitalize the economy?
That's a multi-pronged issue. One of the issues is that most Titulians, if they are employed, are self-employed. How do new citizens get jobs if they aren't business owners themselves? As well, businesses currently lack the capital to make necessary risks.
This is a huge issue. We've got to work on a banking system, establishing more ways for citizens to provide "goods" and services, and working on making sure we have a system in place that functions for the long-term.
7)If the government had to bailout or buy a company, would you?
My Administration will never bailout or buy a company. The furthest we are going is the Business Development Loans, as have been proposed. Businesses must succeed or fail on their own. The point of the loans is to actually get them started. We are more than willing to contract necessary services to companies.
8)Immigration in Titulia has had a significant increase since Mary Brewster was in office. What are your plans for immigration? Foreign Affairs Min. Julian's website has links to Titulia in diff. languages. Will they be put in <<-- Titulia's sidebar
Our plans for immigration currently focus on advertising and outreach measures. We are considering a variety of ways to make sure that the online community is aware of Titulia's existence and making sure that they find this site enjoyable and interactive.
If all goes well, we will have specifc policy objectives by the end of this week. Let me assure you, this is our highest priority.
9)Someone recently called your administration and the RNC promoting/starting a dictatorship or authoritan state. This article is in the Post by Ty of the Socialist Workers' Party. What is your response as the RNC President and the Titulian President?
I find this highly ironic, considering the fact that my first actions have been very much driven by citizen approval. I introduced proposition reform, not to mention I put an entire Budget up for vote, along with the General Court.
The Republican National Committee is based on the idea of freedom and liberty, virtually the anti-thesis of the accusations. I am interested into why Ty has come to these sentiments.
10) How do you rate your time in office so far? What do you think Titulians rate it? Do you think your administation is more popular and succesful compared to Presidents Brewster,Meissner, and Pijanowski?
I give myself a 7/10 so far. This may be high for some Titulians, but I do believe that getting through Proposition Reform was very important for Titulia's future. I would also like to highlight the work done on the Budget, the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women, and the General Court.
I will confess that I have overlooked certain areas that are in dire need of establishment and reform. In hindsight, something I wish I had been more proactive on was the National Archives idea. I was overly critical of it at the time.
As for being more sucessful or popular, I'll let the Citizens and history decide that. Things look a lot different after you are on the other side of this.
